So let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23 and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. 1 Corinthians 3:21-23
What is AYM?
The name of our ministry derives from the text above. Paul wrote to the saints in Corinth that the believer is God's temple and that God's Spirit indwells the Christian. While man looks at outer appearances, God looks at the heart which is why we want to "not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of our minds, that by testing, we may discern what is the will of God what is good and acceptable and perfect" (Rom. 12:2). As followers of Jesus, we speak the truth in love, and put off the old self with its practices and put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator so that we might become, in every respect, the mature body of him who is the head, Christ (Eph. 4:15; Col. 3:9).
Jesus lived the life we were supposed to live and died the death we justly deserved and thus we pray that we will abide in him alone, know Him, take him at his Word, and are obedient to the Great Commission, living life as the salt and light of the earth (2 Cor. 5:21; Jn. 15:4; Mt. 28:18-20; Mt. 5:13).
What Do You Do in AYM?
Currently, we meet for Sunday School class after the 2nd bell rings, in the classroom located in the main hallway, across the bathrooms, and next to the nursery. If you are in 7th-12th grade, please join us. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Daniel at daniel@newlifepresbyterian.org.
